This newborn family session took place outdoors! Not all babies wish to be photographed at home.
On a warm afternoon in July, I met this newly family of 5 in Rancho Palos Verdes, which is the little peninsula on the south of the Los Angeles coast. Armed with masks and lots of social distancing, we adventured down a cliff that open to the refreshing view of RPV local beach.
The twins were happy to get to work. They immediately started collecting rocks and build, while mom and day took care of baby. Changing diapers and nursing on demand as newborn babies do.
I love newborn family sessions that take place outdoors, because the fresh air takes away any worries of perfection. I find that the overall experience results in more playfulness and authenticity.
We did have to promise the children some ice- cream if they could look straight at the camera for a shot or two!
I think everyone had lots of fun running after and away from the waves; being chased by dad with seaweed monster snakes and feeling the gratitude for a healthy and happy family.
