Once again the birth gods have gifted the world with a brand new sparkling soul, who was born a few weeks ago. He is a Beautiful Cesarean Birth Baby and I had the privilege to photograph and doula.
The baby’s mom and dad are solid and during labor, I witnessed what love with the capital L is. From the moment mom went into labor, through each and every contraction and the time baby joined them earthside. Mom was so strong and deeply focused that at times I even wondered if she was having any contractions. She used her voice as a veteran yogi and trusted her body for 15 hours solid. Dad never left her side, and despite my constant reminders he needed to eat and rest, he wouldn’t leave her. They were one, like the best team. Deeply reaching for their dreams to come true.
This Beautiful Cesarean Birth Baby had his own plans.
Like babies often do and despite the fact this birth was not what some would describe as conventional and natural, I can tell you with all my heart that it was just perfect. Here are some moments from birth. I thank this family for letting me share their photos. I adore you and I am forever grateful you chose me as your doula and photographer.
